Poured into a tulip glass. A dark brown, borderline black beer with a moderate, dark tan head for the style. The head faded pretty quickly to a ring, which had decent retention. Whiskey dominates the aroma, with a pecan presence that grows as the beer warms. The whiskey is a little overstated on the taste, not as melded as I would like. Chocolate, vanilla, and pecans compliment the whiskey well. The mouthfeel is a little thin for my liking- it's medium-thin bodied with a drier finish. Overall, a great big, sticky, boozy, sweet BA milk stout.

Poured into a snifter. Opaque brown and viscous on the pour. There was a medium sized brown head initially, but it left quickly, leaving a bit of foam around the edges. The nose had mainly whiskey, with vanilla, cocoa, and some pecans. Tasted like a big milk stout: slightly sticky with some milky sweetness. The chocolate and vanilla were there, along with a touch of the pecans. I thought the bourbon was slightly overdone, leaving a dry and thin finish, but overall a very nice beer.
