A 500ml bottle with a BB of Aug 2014. ABV is stated as 4.1%. Acquired a while back from a B&M store.
Poured into a tulip pint glass. A deep coppery-amber hue with faint sediment and medium carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy off-white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing. Aroma of watery caramel malt with hints of toffee, grain, fruity ale yeast and stewed leaves. Weak sauce - not much going on.
Tastes of vague caramel malt with a dry finish. Notes of grain, subtle caramel, fruity ale yeast and stewed leaves. Well-attenuated, followed by a mild, leafy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with pleasant carbonation and decent body. Lightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of stewed leaves, mild ale yeast and weak caramel.
Hmmmm - OK but no great shakes. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are a balanced combination of caramel malt, ale yeast and faint stewed hops. Balanced yet dull. Decent body. Drinkable enough but hardly excites the senses. No need to rush out and hunt it down.

Pours out in a clear amber colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of hops and barley with some malty hints. Taste of bitter hops, light malt, wheat, bread and nuts. Hints of berries and flowers. Bitter finish. Refreshing and drinkable, yet nothing special.

Two hand-pulled pints in the excellent Rai d'Or; a pub/Thai restaurant in Salisbury on 12th Oct 2013.
Brown to dirty amber in body colour, the head being a dull white covering.
Malts rule the aroma and taste with the hops playing second fiddle in both senses. Not really sweet, but a definite malt lead in all aspects.
Medium bodied and easy to drink, especially with the delicate Thai food I had with my beers. I really enjoyed this beer from a brewery I've never seen beers from before, hope I bump into another one day.
