On tap at the source in Denver. $10 for a 6 oz. pour might have been a bit much. Anyway, pours dark amber colored, very clear looking for a BA beer, without any head. Aroma is mostly oak and Jack Daniels (yes it’s JD barrels the bartender said), with some molasses and burnt brown sugar in the backdrop. Flavor follows with big whiskey notes and huge dry oak on the finish, some burnt sugar, and molasses in there, as well as some dark fruits. Body is boozy yet a little bit thin, with low carbonation. This beer wasn’t bad but I would have liked more soft bourbon vanilla notes and less punch of dry oakiness in my face. Worth a try.
