a wet hopped version of their ipa. i assume the hops have to have come from colorado, which i am learning, may not be as compelling as they are from the northwest and other places, but i think this is better than most, and it definitely beat the other wet hop beer they had working in here. its got a cool earthiness to it, hoppy in more of an old school way, plant-like and botanical without being tropical or fruity really at all, maybe a little dried citrus to it, but for me its more like a straw and hay and grass thing. i like that though, on top of a simple pale malt base, fermented down to about dry, less is more here i think, and with the hops not being overly distinctive, i think the lesser grain profile allows them to still make this beer pretty unique. grassy notes are predominate, and its very late summer, harvest timey to me. good carbonation, medium body, a fine showcase of a unique ingredient, but it never quite gets to the ipa level for me, everything is really mild. something a bit different here.
