a gose with blood orange thats really well balanced. the fruit is natural and forward, yet the beer is still dry, a nice way to work it in without it taking over. the salt is pretty robust here too, and it highlights the cracked toasted coriander seed character this has as well. wheat malt is really light, its yellowy in color and minimal in flavor and body on the grain side, but its plenty fresh, and its a nice earthy balance against the bright and clean acidity. this is quite sour, on the edge of where i can only have one before my stomach turns around, but it really is very tidy, no sweaty or cheesy elements to it at all. some great bitterness is added by the blood orange, its not all sweetness, that oily zesty character comes up. i like that all the different aspects of this come together so well, and it ends up being drinkable for how sour it is because its both interesting and balanced. these guys werent great when they first opened, and its taken me years to make it back here, i think they have a totally different ownership and brewer and everything now, but all the beer was way better than it used to be...
