i love this style in the fall, i really do, and i appreciate how so many of the local breweries here have taken to making them. this one is on the lighter side, but the fermentation is patient and clean, and this is a great session pint for a fall evening! just past brass colored to a light bronze, with a short head from the tap and perfect clarity. aroma of familiar german malts, a honey note, a toasted biscuit, a little bit of that dusty classic german thing, and a crackery and integral lager yeast strain. some minerals in the taste, like i can groove on the water profile being right on here, and i think it helps the yeast out here, this finishes nice and dry, even crisp, more refreshing and sessionable than i usually think about with the style as a result, very clean, really well done there. some earthy hops at the end, a nice wash of carbonation, and a breadiness that seems right for this time of year. possibly my favorite beer i had in here this week, and one of the better takes on this style i have had locally this year! nice work.
