not a huge fan of this style in general, and im not sure this is my favorite interpretation of it, but its well made beer, and it certainly has a twist to it, unlike many others out there and i appreciate that. former future has done a lot of that for me. this is less hoppy, more yeasty, but still bitter. nice caramel hue to the color, a redness, and a lively white head. the nose is cool, heavy english yeast, and grassy english hops. the flavor is similar, but its much more yeast flavored than others, and the body is big, but there is a wet cardboard element, a dankness that doesnt usually come from these combinations of ingredients, and its disagreeable to me. the great carbonation saves it, but it still feels pretty big to me, filling. well made though, and i can say that about most of the beers these guys do. nice to see them launching new styles all the time lately too.
