i loved this place, the new location is so amazing, you should go check it out, or dont, and keep it one of the best secrets in town. so awesome here. this is the only listed beer here i had on my visit, and it was their least inventive, but its also pretty good. has an almost hefe type yeast to it, banana esters in it, less german in grain complexion than others out there, but the beer really works as a light summer refresher with plenty of flavor. its cloudy too for something called a bright lager, all of their beer had some yeast sediment and chill haze to it, but i dont view that as a flaw in this one, despite the name, the beer is definitely not a traditional helles type. super dry and refreshing, well carbonated, and as good as the beer tastes, its more about scene and setting for me on this one. chilling outside with a bunch of stoked people, good tunes playing, sun shining, right on the river, not a care in the world. this is a crusher for sure, and saint patricks is a fantastic place to crush beers!

Pours a burnt dark golden with a nice white head, bubbles continually rising to surface for a while post pour. Aroma is nice and grainy with some great toastiness and doughiness, honey, a mineral quality and a touch grassy. Flavor is sharp and clean with some nice toasty and doughy bread, grassy, and a little sweetness in the close form the emergence of the orange blossom honey. A creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, a great helles. Tivoli and their helles has some definite local competition.
