Pours a hazy dark cherry caramel with a khaki head. Some sediment is definitely present. Aroma and flavor has me thinking belgian strong dark lager/ ale (minus the Belgian yeast) or perhaps imperial vienna lager (to a degree, I dont know) moreso than imperial amber. Dark cherries, a tease of some chocolate, caramel, toasty, and some hops. Alcohol is noticeable in the flavor. Mouthfeel is fuller with some activity. Overall, thought I liked this on my first sip but by my second, third, and fourth sips, I quickly realized I very much did not. Alcohol is way too prevalent and the rest of it just didn't jive as a result. My first dud from these guys. Oh well.
