Served in nonic. Poured clean, clear dark brown color with about 1/2 inch of khaki-colored head that had low retention and lacing.
A nice grainy malt base was first in the nose, with a sweet caramel scent right behind it. There were also some soft, floral hops. Pretty similar on the tongue, grain and caramel at first, with hops in the middle and near the back. On the very finish there was a just a bit of a hop tang that got your attention.
The body was light and smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish. Drinkability was very good, you could easily have a pleasant session with these. Overall, a pretty nice brew, certainly worth your time if you see it.
