16.9oz bottle (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a beautiful clean, clear dark mahogany color with about 1/3 inch of tan head that had moderate retention and light lacing.
The aroma featured the expected deep caramel scent of the style, and a slight herbal aspect as well.
Pretty similar on the tongue, with just a touch of alcohol heat. The tobacco or leather notes that sometimes show up weren't here.
The body was, perhaps, a bit thinner than I look for in the style, but was smooth and even across the palate. The finish was semi-sweet.
Drinkability was good, i could easily drink more.
Overall, a solid, but not exceptional example of the style. worth a shot if you see it.
