Pours a familiar golden color with some light yellow current running throughout. 3/5" white head. Average clarity per style.
The aroma does indeed warrant the name hop in its titular namesake. Plenty of sweeter citrus tangerine and orange like proprietary Citra like hop notes while marrying an older school pine vibe reminiscent of Centennial and/or Chinook, perhaps Simcoe even.
Taste and mouth feel furthers the potential for Simcoe with a good dry like presence that brings some dry grapefruit rind similar to some of those C hops. Back end dryness, low malt interference, crisply carbonated. Light hop burn and acidity, strong beer, but present. Very minimal malt usage, about the lowest in the biz from Urban Roots, and they make it work every time. As the beer continues to be consumed, what starts as a sweeter citrus presence evolves into more of a familiar pine and rind combo, which I enjoyed. Hid the alcohol very well. I don't even remember where I put this sticker.

Canned 2/7/19. A fridge tenant that has been hiding in the back, but eviction time is nigh, as in, right now.
L: Copperish yellow in color, clear in appearance. A simple pour yielded a 2 fingers width of a bubbly white cap that retained for quite some time, and refreshingly so. Heaps of residual lacing coats the glass like a wedding dress. As far as WCIPAs go look-wise, this is great.
S: Lemon, malts, pine and some earthy dankness accompanied by other citrus smells. Smells great and rather juice forward.
T: Rather sweet with a touch of citrus acidity, but the more you drink it, the better it gets. Fruit flavor initially, grassy/pine/dank complex at the finish. After taste consists of malts, pine and lemon.
F: Medium in body, light to medium in weight. Average carbonation, but that isn't a knock. No booze presence.
O: The more I drink it, the more I enjoy it. This is a tasty brew, and somewhat different from the rest. It is refreshing having a WCIPA. I am very glad to try, and would drink again. Cheers!
