Black Eye is creamy and chocolaty, with hints of coffee. A rich malty body and subtle roasted flavors round out this beer inspired by the strong, dark brews exported from Great Britain to Eastern Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Holy cow this beer is amazing. The best porter I've had.....or stout for that matter. It's definitely up on the top of my favorite beers. Unfortunately I get it very seldom as I live very far from Nebraska. It's not wonder this is an award winner. A fantastic, creamy, smooth, roasted coffee . If you have a chance, this is a must!

Great combination of roast, Carmel, and hop bitterness and flavor. Very drinkable for 8+%. Must get more. Well made.

Poured/consumed at the brewery. This beer has the classic porter look & feel with a thick tan head. Tastes as you would expect, and is very smooth & drinkable for an imperial. A great brew for the cold Nebraska winters, I would expect this one to be a staple on the Scratchtown menu for years to come. Looking forward to the bourbon aged version of this brew later in the year.
