Clear dark amber, quite a decent foam in the Orval chalice. Very fragrant of cloves. Dry finish of the usual Belgian yeast. Substantial body with a malty mouthfeel. Plenty of spritz on the tongue. A lot of flavor for the moderate alcohol content. This is quite drinkable though the cloves are a little much. But it's clean and even a little crisp. From the 250 ml nip brought back from France. Originally purchased at a Carrefour store.

From Carrefour. At Halloween lunch, shared with brothers-in-law. In shaker. Pretty good for a cheap supermarket white label. Better than others like Grimbergen. Not too much artificially sweet. Could have more body
