Poured from a roughly 18oz can into a tulip glass. Dark chestnut in color, closer to mahogany when held to the light. Head slowly dissipates. Lots of coffee in the nose with toasted malt sweetness. Malts come first, with notes of toffee, roasted nuts, slightly burnt toast and of course roasted coffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Overall is a great brown ale with coffee added. The coffee doesn’t get in the way of what is a great malt bill, which is a refreshing change for coffee beers. Recommended

On draft in a glass
L - has a red/amber hue. not nearly as dark as i thought it would be.still has some clarity. light lacing along the sides of the glass. less then an inch of head retention.
S - the aroma of iced coffee floods my nose. literally smells like a cup of coffee. overpowers any hop or malt characteristics
T - tastes just like it smells,ICED TODDY. i enjoy the powerful coffee flavor. mild roasted malt comes through on the finish
F - has a nice easy finish as a porter usually does. slightly dry and astringent from the coffee i assume. makes me thirsty for more
O - the caffeine kicks in pretty quick. i can always enjoy a beer that gets me drunk and also gives me a coffee buzz. one of the better coffee beers i've had this year. Upslope Brown was a good choice as a brew to blend with those uplifting beans.
