From notes taken 02/23/17:
Canned just over a year ago, higher ABV and lower IBU so should still be quite good.
Deep reddish brown, barely clear and ever more opaque with dark swirls of sediment spiraling downward. Foamy, moderately well-retaining head is a desert mud color, an orange brownish tan. Ripe banana, balsamic vinegar, paint thinner aromas. Head itself reminds me of cooked celery on the nose. Extreme dark fruit (especially plum and tannin-laden grapeskins) and banana flavors, moving towards suggestions of balsamic vinegar and brown spirits. Molasses, anise and thyme retro-olfaction. Full in body, creamy or velvety but medium in carbonation, heavy and hot with booze, surprising astringency for the style.

19.2 ounce can canned February 3rd 2016.
1" head of tannish foam sitting on a very dark brown liquid. Head retention is okay.
I smell chocolate, banana, cloves. .smells authentic for the style.
Taste matches the smell and I call that pretty impressive. Super tasty, very smooth, minimal presence of the alcohol. A treat this beer is.

Can info - CANNED ON: 02.03.16
Hazy, dark brown body topped with a tan colored, thick and sticky head. Fruity, spicy aroma; banana bread; cloves and ginger; rye. Mildy roasted grain taste; bananas; fine, toffee; even-keeled hop bitterness; gentle yeastiness. Heavy body; smooth and silky on the palate; semi-sweet finish.
Dark, rich, and very flavorful with an excellent body. The beer delivers great depth and complexity with the flavors. The wheat adds an awesome smoothness to things. The alcohol very subdued with the wheat and malt components doing an excellent job of keeping their taste qualities in the foreground. Quite enjoyable on a winter-y Spring afternoon while watching Colorado Rockies pre-season baseball...
