Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is amber, slight haze, head is tan with small bubbles, presenting at least 1 inch thick with some over the glass edge presence, good lacing on the glass sides.
Smell starts slow ... then moderates with warmth and brings some light caramel, toast and sweetness, light hops, maybe some toffee starting to emerge.
Taste is similar - starts slow then brings caramel, toast, toffee, hint of earthy hops, also some metallic like flavor.
Mouthfeel is a bit crisp, dry than sweet, compared to some traditional style irish reds.
Overall a good irish red with pleasant maltiness as it warms, a bit dry on the finish but works as an americanized version.
