In a world dominated by IPAs, it was refreshing to find a Kölsch from a local brewery. The color is more golden & hazy than most Kölsch, which gives it its own character. Has a distinct Kölsch of its own. It has a foaming head, which slowly dwindles. I’m a big Riepstine’s fan and once again they did not disappoint. I’m glad a purchased the 1/6 on a whim. Cheers!

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw, slight haze, head is off white with great dense foam with some lacing and lingering head well after the initial pour.
Smell is neutral grain, some toast, grassy hops.
Taste has a bit more malt character - good toast, light biscuit; hops are grassy, earthy.
Mouthfeel is moderate, with carbonation and light malt flavor interplaying.
Overall a good Kolsch style ale with moderate malt character and moderate crisp hoppiness.
