Poured into a straight chalice: color is murky gold to copper at the dense spots, head is off white with fine to small bubbles, quite a bit of entrapped carbonation in the liquid as well with larger bubbles presenting at the initial pour, then just a solid top of head with some feint lacing on the glass sides.
Smell highlights the basics of what you'd expect out of an NEIPA - light tropical fruit, hint of malt, maybe some citrus rind; a bit light on all these notes but nothing overdone or out of place.
Taste follows the basic NEIPA base - tropical fruit, maybe some citrus and pineapple highlights but still not emphatic. Malt is light, mainly just some neutral pale malt.
Mouthfeel is good for the sub-style - bitterness is low and hop presence is notable but not tongue destroying.
Overall good spin on the NEIPA sub-style but a bit retrained in its aroma and flavor compared to many others.
