16oz can pours a translucent dark brown color with a small amount of head. Tons of lacing. The aroma is grapefruit, tangerine and lemon peel. A bit herbal. The taste is herbal hops with grapefruit and light tropical notes of guava. Way more of a malt presence than I expected. Herbal, bitter finish. Light bodied. Very drinkable. This is a collaboration I never thought I'd see but I'm happy with the result.

16oz can dated 6/28 on top of the 4-pack holder, poured into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Made in the Shade comes out dark gold with amber hues, clear body, and a great foamy white head that leaves a lot of lacing.
Smell is quite hoppy, big grapefruit notes, herbal, peppery, hint of pine, touch of sweetness. The flavor reveals more malt than the aroma, there's a big doughy sweetness upfront, hint of caramel, middle is grapefruit and bitterness. Finishes with an herbal touch and a slight pine note. Medium body and refreshing carbonation.
Overall a classic IPA, well done, and just hoppy enough. I don't think this is a superb IPA or anything like that, just a solid example of the style. Worth a try, for sure.
