Hello and goodbye to 4 Paws Brewing...
Served in a stange glass at Green Lady. The beer pours a nice dark copper color and shows god clarity. Some creamy parchment colored foam on top, it laces nicely and sticks around for awhile.
Aroma is lightly toasty, grain husks, and unfortunately a twinge of alcohol is also present.
Taste is similar, it has a nice round and toasty malt character and a mild bitterness, though it's hampered a bit by a noticeable alcohol bite. The fact that it's only 5.25% and you can taste/smell the alcohol is a little strange. Body was fairly light, and the glass was finishable. Overall it was ok, but nothing really stood out about it.
I liked the tribute to historical Chicago breweries that they worked into their beers, but not so much the beers themselves.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
