a really nice example of the style, subtle and real drinkable, only moderately acidic, which leads to pint after pint in the right setting. has all the right attributes, haziness and a fresh wheat malt base, notes of red apple, less acidic but equally pungent lacto, and some real meaningful body compared to the field. i love how dry it is, how they werent shy with the hops, and how it tickles the palate. its summery and refreshing, but also in many ways substantial. carbonation is a big key, but this is also awesome because it isnt one dimensional. in addition to the hops, i get a bit of pear and cider notes, another sugar source perhaps, and the lacto isnt all that intense, more balanced, more funk, maybe even a saison yeast pitch too. it really doesnt need much adjusting, and frankly, i am surprised they didnt make this beer sooner. i think it stands as one of the best beers in golden right now, and as one that is going to kick this warmer weather off right. textbook example of the style, but still distinct in its own right. i will drink a ton of this in the coming months...
