Had on tap at the Camp George Brewery on South Golden Road.
On arrival, a one finer fine bone white head was present on top of a brass clear body with light carbonation. A thin fine covering of bubbles is present after the head dissipates, but nice lacing is left.
Aroma is a touch fruity with a sweet crackery malt backing everything up. The hops are reserved but present amd balance and brighten everything. The aroma is quite crisp and drinkable and doesn't give away the ABV.
Taste follows the aroma but carries a nice noble hop bitterness and the sweetness goes away replaced by some nice floral notes as well as a crisp malty flavor. Good strong German style lager.
Feel is crisp and dry, but quite full bodied. This means it is very drinkable but slightly warming. Feel is long but never gets mouthcoating or syrupy. Despite the size this is extremely drinkable and clean.
Overall, this beer is extremely well brewed and sticks to the style very well. This is a strong pale lager that let's you know it is both a pale lager and a bit stronger than usual without compromising drinkability and refreshing qualities.
