Deep orange with tight off-white head that retracts to ring the edge but leaves nice carbonation release when tipped resulting in expected (courtesy of the caramalt) lacing.
Scant tropical aromas with orange the most prevalent.
Tasted at 49 F. Well designed flavors and feel. Nice balance from beginning to end but with the hops juicying it up at the end and the alcohol creep in even later.
Well thought out. The cryptic date code (2219) and lack of aromas is the only thing keeping this from being very good.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a thistle.
Pours a cloudy gold with active climbing carbonation. Two finger head yields to a thick cap with plenty of residual stick.
Aroma opens with tropical fruit. Passionfruit and mango puree. Pineapple and slight citrus switch to a sweet crackery malt profile in the end.
Flavor is hop bitterness on the front coming into that fruit profile. Nice amount of sweetness balances the bittering hop. Malt is light and not as present as I'm accustomed to in an imperial. Malt is sweet and bready, but not overly so. No hint of the alcohol in this one.
The big change come in the mouthfeel. Chewy, viscous and sticky on the lips. Adequate carbonation makes this a pleasure to drink.
A good imperial ipa. Liked it very much.
