I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: cloudy yellow hue with a nice layer of white foam. A very nice looking Hef.
Smell: sweet malt with a big banana and clove aroma. It's a really traditional German style hefeweizen and delivers just what I like in the style.
Taste: big banana flavor with just a touch of vanilla and astringency from the oak. It really works for me.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Very smooth.
Overall: this beer really appeals to me. So few American breweries are doing good traditional hefeweizens. Great.
