I’ve been here twice now. First time they could serve flights and now it’s Covid era so...
They ramped up their already cool beer garden since my last visit and Hooligans is right there and has fabulous food which you can order and they will bring to ya. It’s dog friendly and spacious with plenty heaters if it cold out.
The flight I had the first time was all good but can’t remember which beers I went for. Usually try to pick a lighter beer and then work my way to “the dark side”.
This visit I had a cucumber lime pale ale which tasted like iced tea (no ice) and not head and no bubbles. I don’t recommend it at all.
Second beer was a Girl Scout Cookie brew. I enjoyed that one.

i had really mixed feeling about this place, cool that more and more folks are making beer in this hood, and cool that these guys are endeavoring to make some curious beers. cool part of town, set off the road, almost a converted garage vibe, lots and lots of flavors on tap, i was super impressed with the selection for such a humble space. we sat at a generic high top, ordered beers from a faceless bartender at the rail, and enjoyed the open air feel here on a nice summer evening. the apple ipa was cool, almost a cider beer hybrid. they also did the als ipa thing and nailed it, and we were all a little confused and challenged by their habanero pepper amber ale, good fun. unfortunately neither the space nor the beer make it a destination, but if you are doing a brewery crawl in this hood of seattle, and you should, this is a good stop on this itinerary. more imaginative beers that i expected for this branding and naming and all, but there is a lot of beer around here, and this failed to distinguish itself in terms of quality, even with ambitious recipes on the list...

I was in the area and stopped in at Bad Jimmy's yesterday for the first time. It's right across the street from Hale's and within easy walking distance of the bulk of Ballard's brewery scene.
The look of the space is very handsome; I wouldn't be surprised to learn that one of the operators is a woodworker. It's all polished wood with a red-and-black theme that works well. There's a big garage door that can be opened in nice weather, too, which I always like.
There were 7 or 8 beers on tap plus a local cider. I sampled a spiced stout and the hefeweizen, both of which were pretty good (especially the hef). A brewer was on duty in the taproom so we talked a little bit about what they have in the works; it seems the staff there are pretty cool.
I'd like to revisit Bad Jimmy's again and try a few more of their beers. Their overall beer rating so far isn't super high, but the beers I had were good so perhaps their game is steadily improving.

One of the newer additions to the already full Ballard/Seattle brewing scene, Bad Jimmy's is a standout. Their beer is BIG. They don't have anything lower than 6.3%, and it's all good quality. Plus, you can't get a better deal on a growler fill anywhere. $7 for a 1/2 gallon! Come thirsty, leave happy.

If you want a Ballard brewery, and want to drink late, this is the place. Its also nice that you can order food at the Leary Traveler and they bring it to you. The beer is alright, nothing to call home about, but gets the job done.

Just ran across this place while walking off lunch at Brouwer's Cafe, on our way to Populexe. It was a warm sunny afternoon and they had the big garage door open to the sunshine. Had a flight of 4 beers for $8.00. A blood orange wheat, a pale ale, a black ale, and an imperial IPA. The blood orange was really good, the pale was weird, and the black ale and imperial were pretty good. It's worth another visit when I have a bit more time.
