Undrinkable. Artificial, perfume-like pineapple taste. Three sips and ordered a different beer. In the glass it looked exactly as an IPA should but all downhill from there.

this was hands down (and i mean by a mile), the best infusion beer i had at the brewery. they were really up and down, but this beer is incredible. its a richer maltier ipa, brewed with fresh pineapple, and obviously quite a lot of it. wow is it good! more of a copper color in the glass, nice and heady, with this incredibly juicy almost grilled pineapple complexion to it, very hawaiian, fresh, lively, mouth watering. its nice with the hops too, which seem to be southern hemisphere types, mostly dry hopped or late kettle, and quite tropical as well, with subtle lime and papaya fruitiness in here with the pineapple. it is the pineapple that steals the show in the flavor too, so much juicy ripe goodness here. way out in front of the hops, but nicely supported by them. i actually like the richer malt base for this too, it serves to extend both the fruit and the hops, and provide some necessary body to counter the acidity of the pineapple. it comes across a little bigger, but man, i have never had a beer with this much pineapple character, and the hops are perfectly selected and timed to compliment it. this is special beer, and i can almost forgive some of the less impressive offerings here because of it. absolutely awesome!
