Infusion Brewing Co. "Metz"
12 fl. oz. can "PKG ON 12/02/22" and sampled on 12-23-22
$1.83 @ Hy-Vee #1470, Omaha, NE
Notes via stream of consciousness: A hazy golden body is capped by three quarters of an inch of bright white foam that's receeding before my eyes. The nose is sweetish and grainy with a smear of grassy and herbal hops. It has that authentic "generic" beer aroma. The flavor is fuller than the aroma lets on with a sweeter malt base and more hop flavor. A moderate bitterness leaves it sweet upfront but eventually works it down to a semi-dry finish. There's enough bitterness that it never becomes sticky or cloying although it's right on the edge. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. On the positive side it's clean in both the flavor and aroma. On the negative side it's hazy with poor head retention and lacing, not very well balanced, and a bit undercarbonated. I love to see old labels revived, and for all I know this is exactly how it used to be (I doubt it), but it's technically not very good in the end.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
