Many archeologists believe that Pinellas Point Temple Mound’s construction began as far back as 1,000 years ago by a native tribe known as the Tocobaga. It is at this location in St. Petersburg that Princess Hirrihigua saved the life of a Spanish sailor, Juan Ortiz, which scholars reference as the event that influenced the story of Pocahontas and Captain John Smith. This American Brown Ale is loaded with flavors of bitter chocolate, soft roasted coffee, and an earthy grass-like hop bitterness.

Enjoyed on-tap at Oblivion Taproom in Orlando. This brown is sweet, malty, slightly earthy, with hints of chocolate in the finish. Not much hops in the finish. Overall, a solid brown ale from Green Bench Brewing that was worth a try.
