Pours an opaque dark brown color with khaki colored head. Hops on the nose, surprisingly hopped porter, with pine and roasted malts mixing on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium to full bodied. Finishes with roasted malt character followed by some pine hop notes.

Flight sized pour at the tap room.

Nice head and retention. A lot of nice charred/ ashy aromas and flavors. The body was nice too. A solid medium. Too many porters end up being watery. Just a hair too hoppy, but orherwise very good.

Advertised as a hoppy porter and it is, just doesn't work for me. A tad thinner as well.
