A sour stout. Wow like the idea. Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Blackberries and Blueberries. I like it even more now.
From 500ml bottle into snifter. Pours a very dark clear crimson with light brown 1/2 inch head fading to a small ring and center island. I first smell the berries then Bourbon. Nice ballence on the nose. Suptle sour aroma as well. Taste is smooth sour berry. No barrel aging noticed only smelled. This beer is very light for a stout and I don't really see any stout characteristics here. Opens up when it warms a bit with the blackberries dominating the pallet. Slightly booze as well. For a fruit sour this beer shines. Not to tart nor are the Barrie's overpowering. A very drinkable sour. If it only had more BA it be perfect.
