Equally as beautiful to behold is our New England-style double dry hopped Double IPA with five of our favorite tropical and resinous hop varieties. This Double IPA is as smooth as they come. Built to be uniquely drinkable, Skyway can be enjoyed year round in our beautifully tropical climate.

Gold in color with a hazy complexion. There’s a fingernail of eggshell white around the rim and covering nearly all of the top. Heavy soapy lacing. There’s nose is packed with citrus and tangerine. The mouth is very approachable and smooth.

Look: thick hazy golden orange, fluffy creamy head, specs of spotty lacing
Smell: lemongrass, white wine, citrusy, pine
Taste: mango, cantaloupe, orange/tangerine, white wine, pineapple, pine
Feel: med thick body, well carbonated
Overall: 8.2% abv 70 IBU's. Knocked a few of these back and it's a good beer. A lot of tropical flavors come out to play on this one. But one of the hops used was the Hallertau Blanc hop so the white wine is in control here. That taste profile doesn't really work for me but like I said, it is a good beer. I would have no problem drinking it again. Pairs well with Hard Time by Ratt.

Tasty and hoppy, but a bit pungent.

Tap hit at Mellow Mushroom.
Delivered cold in a snifter, it’s hazy orange-gold with a white foam cap.
Aroma of piney resin and Florida citrus.
Taste follows with worthy notes of sour orange and grapefruit, accented by a good hop bite and a mouthwatering finish. Bitter on the finish with a very present and warm 8.2% alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation.
Overall, a fine Florida beer.
It’s name, Skyway, tributes the span bridge over the Gulf of Mexico that delivers drivers to St. Petersburg.,. home of Green Bench Brewing.

The bite near the end was a bit harsh at first but it had a decent overall taste. I’m not sure if I’d get it again. It wasn’t the hoppy double IPA I was expecting.
