Paid 2.59 at Hollingshead, a rather bland beer. Tasted like a lager at first with the rapidly rising bubbles. I'm not too experienced with kristal weizens, but this was weak, and inferior to most hefes i've had. Some banana flavors, little to know clove aftertaste. More lager than weizen.

Poured into a weizen glass it formed a big frothy pearl white head but quickly faded which was surprising for this style. Typical bananna/wheat balance with a slight malty backdrop. I was impressed with the potent aroma from this one as I went in with no expections. This is a bit pale and straw colored but packs a punch in the taste. zippy crisp mouthfeel that makes its point and fades quickly into a sharp/clean finish.
Overall a decent representation. Not up there with the big boy Weihenstephaner, yet Very drinkable and easily consumed in quanity.
