Dunkels Premium Bier-500ml. brown bottle with four labels and a pry-off crown cap. No freshness date or code like some of their other offerings. It pours a dark rootbeer brown with some murkiness and a thick, creamy beige-tan head with everlasting retention. Really good carbonation with chunky foam lace that clings to the glass.
The smell is somewhat Rauch-like, slightly smokey with dark fruitness. A little roasty and a wee bit nutty. Nice malt profile.
The taste exemplifies the nose in a great way. Some nice lightly sweet fruit of plum, apricot and fig with just a light smokiness, are the mainframe of this brew. The flavor winds down with light roast and nutty qualities with the fruits keeping up, eventually lending a clean hop finish that pines for more.
Full bodied with some fluff, complimentary carbonation that keeps this brew interesting to the end. A solid brew and kick-ass for this style...way too drinkable
