one of the better and more unique beers i have had from station 26 so far, this is pretty awesome, although a lot less belgian than others labeled dubbel. the plum takes it new places, the way the ovila quad from sierra nevada was made memorable with the plums, they obviously turn a decent base beer into something special here. i like how fruity while staying dry. candy sugar and plum unite with rich grain to form the base of this. i have no clue about the abv either, but i would guess something near 9%. its big, warming, but not caustic or hot. the fruit is nice, mildly spiced like its been mulled, and the yeast does a nice job playing this up. its a little sweet in the middle, but it finishes up nicely. meanwhile, i get notes of molasses, black tea, and toffee, its clever, even anise in here for a second. didnt know they did anything belgian in nature, but this one is a real success. on tap at bark bar, an awesome place in its own right as well!
