definitely one of the better station 26 beers i have had in awhile. seems like its going to be a series of pales that changes a bit from batch to batch. the first installment is great. looks real light in color, yellowy and mostly clear, with an insane head on it, almost looks like it came from a nitro tap, thick and creamy and snow white, lasting, and with great lace as it drinks. very delicate hop profile for an american pale. hints of lemongrass and citrus, but this is more about florals and subtle vegetal character than any of the usual fruity hop notes. very mild and delicately dosed. it works with the lighter base, which may have some pils malt in it. simple really, but should the pale ale be that way? drinkable forever too, with just enough flavor to be interesting, majorly fresh, and carbonated to the moon. dry as a bone, and still not super light in feel, definitely watered down in any way. a bit of a dip the toes in kind of pale, and i expect them to get more bold as the series progresses, but this is a tasty pale, a total crusher for me.
