This is my favorite of the beers I tasted at Station 26 last night. Brought home a 32 oz crowler for a bigger gulp and tasting notes. Brewery says this is made with Red X and Rahr 2-row malt, and Calypso, Hallertau Blanc, El Dorado, and Citra hops. The hop mixture is indefinable but just right for this brew. Not overly bitter but plenty to balance all the malt.
Pours a clear coppery dark red color, quite lovely. Big foam in the Saxo narrow tulip. Rich, strong, and mellow. Roasted malt and a whiff of pine in the inviting aroma. Quite malty with roasted grain, caramel, and a tangy finish. Overall, a much better than average Red Ale.
