On tap at the brewery into a nonic glass.
A-The beer is light golden and perfectly clear. A thin finger of white head sits on top for a minute or two until dissipating to a collar of foam. Lacing on the glass is minimal and the beer looks mostly still; no bubbles to be seen.
S-The aroma does a nice job of showcasing the ekuanot hops. The beer smells vaguely tropical with suggestions of unripe mango and mild sugary sweetness. There is also a distinct earthy, green onion flavor (as well as white onion), which I often pick up from ekuanot. Bitterness is moderate.
T-The beer packs a noticeable pithy bitterness -- this ain't no juice bomb, but I'm OK with that. I am still tasting hints of green and white onion, as well as moderately sweet tropical fruit flavors. Pale malts are mostly drown out by the hop flavors, but the beer is not unbalanced.
M-The body is lighter than average with a semi-crisp carbonation. It is easy to drink and the feel is well suited to the flavor profile.
O-This is another well-done hoppy beer from Station 26, but I am beginning to think that ekuanot hops and me don't always see to eye-to-eye. If you like them, however, this beer is definitely worth a try.
