L: Pours a clear copper yellow color with a small white head and no lacing on the glass.
S: Sweet caramel and sweet malt, mixed with some toasted bread and not a ton of hop.
T: Sweet caramel and apple juice, some toasted bread, a little sweeter than I prefer my Oktoberfest.
F: Sticky lower carbonation,medium body.
O: A solid Oktoberfest that is a little sweeter than my preference.

A rich orange amber color with a 1/2 inch of white head. There is a lot of sweet maltiness on the nose with some caramel or candi sugar. The taste is again malty caramel, if not strongly so. Closes with a dry lingering bitterness. This is a bit thin. Pretty good beer...not great, not bad.

solid take on the style here, thanks to my homie for shipping me a can. it looks the part, rich fallen maple leaf orangey red hued with just a little haze, a thick and lasting inch of white head, and great lace as it drinks. this is immediately hoppier and drier than is traditional, the swallow holds the hops on the tongue, but they arent all in the finish, sort of spicy earlier on too, not over the top, but its a distinguishing characteristic of this, they seem noble, just robust. the malt is full flavored but not caramelized or sugary, more kilned and clean, more earthy and bready, baked not concentrated, i like that aspect, especially with the hops, which get a little floral as the beer warms up. the yeast is authentically german to me, and the use of it is expert. this is super crisp as the style goes, lighter in texture than many, but without really sacrificing anything, its complete and really well done overall. this is the perfect fall lager, and my only complaint really is that i had only one pint can, while this one demands at least a four pack. solid, best thing ive had from these guys in some time...

Excellent clear body, deep copper hue; lively carbonation; fairly thin head, white, persistent. Light smell; slightly malty. More bitter tasting than malty; very mild caramel note. Medium body; seems thin for the style yet lager smooth; semi-dry with the alcohol presence yet still has a bit of residual sugar sweetness and feel.
I had better hopes for this beer. It's drinkable but doesn't really exude and Oktoberfest appeal. It seems unbalanced with its stronger emphasis with a rather sharp hop bitterness.
Poured at 51 °F; no canning data noted on the can.
