Big flavor in a small package, an aromatic American IPA with a lower ABV.

Pours a mostly clear golden yellow color,Smell was citrus and pine with grassy bread smells. Taste citrus/pine mixed with sweet malts a lemon grass finish. Thin mouth feel with a sweet hop water finish. A nice refreshing session IPA here.

Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head that falls fairly quickly but leaves generous lacing. Aroma is faint, melon and pine. Flavor is bolder than the nose would suggest and yet the same melon and pine with decent bitterness in the finish. Feel is light and crisp, well carbonated. Overall pretty much as advertised a tasty session beer.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. No canning date information found on can or on label.
Medium amber colored body. Thin bubbly, white head stays around. Leaves behind some lacing spotting.
Piney plywood smell. Some floral hops and light roasted malts.
Has a bitter flavor of piney hops. Slight floral hops. Does express a backbone of lightly roasted malts.
Thin mouth feel. Lower carbonation.
This session IPA has an accentuated bitter hop taste, which is different from a lot of session IPAs, but not enough of a reason to try again. A slightly higher ABV% pale ale or IPA will have more rewarding complexity.

The Buddy Check was pretty good. Poured in a mason jar it has a nice effervescent light copper colored body. A light blond head. Laces nicely- mostly heavy draining but some laces that will remain until you wash the glass. When will that be? Only time will tell as this is what? 4% abv? Somewhat sessionable I'd say, I had three 12oz cans this evening. (The artwork and aesthetic of which are pretty cool, throwbacks) Which leads us to taste...

It tastes good. Some pine, buttered biscuits, a musty hay (in a good way) front is followed hard by a bitter backside. Left me wanting on the floral end. A light bitterness that lingers long after the fact. Reminds me of the next beer I'll review Summit's Horizon Red IPA. Good. Three thumbs up out of four.

Dark amber color with a finger of head. Certainly looks different from the "hop water" look of most session IPAs. Aroma of citrus with some floral and pine elements. A little bit of caramel and toast as well. Flavor is more than just hops. A little bit of caramel and musty grain lays a nice foundation for the citrus and pine flavors to play off of resulting in sort of a balanced beer. Light body and nicely carbonated but nothing extraordinary.

12oz can. Poured out a clear golden color with a small off-white head. It smelled very citrusy and of caramel malt. Sweet and citrusy. It was crisp and sharp.
