This review is for the Capitol St. location.
Loved this space. Airy, spacious, with plenty of seating. Prices are a little higher than what I expected for the portions, but quality of food met or exceeded my expectations. Wish I liked their beers just a little more tho.

This review is for the newer Broadway location. Really cool design, open and airy , rather artsy fartsy. Excellent beer -especially the wee heavy and velodrome dipa. Food available from Sellends next door ,pizza is very good. Bike and dog friendly - hell yes.The negatives are the jackass parents who believe everyone loves their little heathen spawn. You may love your children but I abhor them when I am enjoying a tasty adult beverage while witnessing noisy, obnoxious ,bored children vying for your attention. This was a Sunday afternoon - maybe best to visit at another time.

Great place to visit. Dog and kid friendly, nice rotation of food trucks, great staff and cool atmosphere. Beers are some of the best in the Sacramento region.

Stopped in for a couple of beers on my way to Davis. Super busy on a Saturday afternoon, lots of bikers and dogs like the name suggests. In a warehouse, but they made it look pretty clean and classy inside.
Quality was very solid. I really enjoyed the Mosaic Pale, and the Wee Heavy was tasty as well.
They had 8 different beers to choose from, with a decent variety, but I would have liked to have seen a beer or two that were more on the strong side just to mix it up a little.
Service was fine, they were super busy, but they were working hard, were pleasant, and as quick as possible.
No food, apparently food trucks show up regularly in the late afternoon though.
Overall, a very worthy stop in what would normally be a town you'd cruise right by.

Bike Dog has a great atmosphere that is relaxed and friendly; their beers are tasty and extremely crisp; and they provide good, quick service even when it's busy. However, many of their beers were a bit too simple (I wonder if they over-filterize their beers or something); the beers were a bit pricey compared to other breweries; and they didn't have a large selection of beers. Overall, I thought the quality and choices of beer were good enough to mitigate the shortcomings I experienced when visiting the brewery. It's a really fun place to hang out and I'll likely be back again.

Bike Dog brewery is first off, bike and dog friendly. They have a bike rack inside and have accommodated our tandem inside as well. We've seen all kinds of dogs inside and no problems yet. Family friendly place so yes, kids will be found here as well. A perfect example of a Pub, where folks meet and chat and drink beer. We like the industrial decor, with bikes on display up above the bar and around the periphery. The bar has a cement counter, with metal stools; some stools have names painted on them honoring sponsors. Several picnic tables are inside as well as small tables and chairs for kids. A few games and decks of cards are available and IMO, a big plus: no TVs. And The Beer: all very good. From soft opening a few months ago, to now, an expanding line up of beers. They're currently in the middle of testing for beers for Sacramento Beer Week 2014 (end of Feb/beginning of March). Over the past couple months (or longer) I think I've had them all. Last week was their first single hop pale ale (using Mosaic). We'll be going back today and I'll have it again. IMO, possibly their best beer. Great nose, I could smell the hop aroma as Sage (one of the owners) set it down in front of me. Taste was clean and perfect. One of those Pale Ales that pushes up to the line of an IPA. I had a second and it confirmed it was a great beer. Food: The brewery arranges to have a food truck for Friday and Saturday nights. Value: pints are $5 or 6. Pretty typical CA price.
