The very first Cellarmaker IPA! With Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and Simcoe hops. Aromas of mango and overripe passion fruit, lychee and rambutan, pine, and a slight diesel character from the Nelson Sauvin. The flavor is a burst of fruity resinous pine which transitions to an assertive bitterness supported by the peppery, oily rye. Slang some hops in yo’ face!

Crowler poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewing Co pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces well.
S: All the classic Southern Hemisphere hop notes, grassy, diesel, zesty citrus, exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, light pine, crackery malt, and a touch of light caramel sweetness.
T: Zesty citrus, lemon, lime, and a touch of tangerine, tropical, exotic, and stone fruit, passion fruit, white grape, apricot, peach, mango, gooseberry, Southern Hem diesel, grassy faintly herbal notes, a little resinous pine, crackery biscuity malt, and light caramel sweetness.
M: A little on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Quite tasty. Good thing it's only 6.5%, because it goes down easy.
2025 Revisit:
Can poured into a snifter
A bit more green this time around, definitely more pronounced grassy and diesel notes than I remember. Doesn't quite hit like the first time I had it, but it's still good.

Not as good as I hoped it would be. It lacked the smell and taste I look for in a IPA.

I'll preface by stating that I enjoy Rye IPA's. This one isn't as spicy as Ruthless Rye or Hop Rod Rye, but the rye spice is there in perfect balance. The nose on this beer is amazing. Deep citrus, dank pine, and hearty malt. Taste follows nose. Touch of spice from rye. Citrus hop flavors round out the flavor profile. It is a very well made beer.
