The American Blonde Ale is a style that currently has a "to be determined" for the standard taste profile. I believe this variant pushes the boundaries without delving too much into the pale ale realm. Fantastic nose and taste, the citra notes really make their presence know.

Clear yellow gold color with bright white foam in the Chimay chalice. Lovely aromatics with lemon, melon, and straw. Just a slight malty taste with a little sweetness. Citrus flavor with a perfumey note like Persian lime. Only thing I don't like is the lingering stemmy sort of astringency that seems to get worse as you sip.
Overall this is quite drinkable, if you like the herbal finish. Seems like a "hoppy blonde" would be a Pale Ale, but then maybe it's not that hoppy. Or else who cares. From the 16 oz can shipped by City Beer. Dated 11/16/20 on the bottom.

Can mailed fresh from brewery.
~1 week old.
Definitely hoppy blond aspects.
Kind of a weird style to specify.
Clear gold, white head that fizzled off.
Honey, citrus, dank, French bread, cereal, breadiness.
Pretty darn good.

A: Lots of super citrusy (orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit) and slightly floral hops
A: Bright, light yellow color, super hazy with small white tight head that has solid retention, some lacing in the glass is evident.
T: Hop flavors of citrus, well balanced by the malt – the flavor is clean and juicy. There is excellent balance between the hops and malt, coupled with a light grassy bitterness on the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Excellent; the beer has a great citrusy and somewhat complex hop aroma and flavor, coupled with excellent balance from the malt. The beer has a great, clean and juicy character – making it easy to drink!

Thanks to Goldstar81 for sharing this one at the LA Beer Talk bottle share.
Pours a murky golden-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus fruit, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and earth flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer that is super tasty, but the citrus hops come through slightly better in the smell to me.
Serving type: growler.

Hazy yellow color. Super hoppy and dank. The citra hops really show. It is dank and fruity. Does this even count as a blonde? By far the top blonde ale I have had.
