On tap at the brewery tap room. I tried a few beers, but this was an easy favorite, even among a selection of great beers. The beer poured a very hazy banana yellow, looking more like a blonde hefeweizen. The aroma and flavor have a big, bright lemon character with back grassy pepper and floral notes. Wow, I've had motueka hops before, but never like this. There's also a small amount of oats used in the mash that with the barley adds a pleasant toasty note in the background. It's very tasty and incredibly interesting for a style that's been done thousands and thousands of times.

Served on tap at the brewery. Hazy hay-colored gold with good lacing. Smell is mild and fruity. The taste is crisp and full. Well-carbonated. Pleasantly bitter. Spicy, peppery, hoppy. Lime zest and sweetness are reminiscent of a beery, hoppy 7 up. Finish is bitter and pleasant. Recommended but not exceptional.
