Nelson, new hop Elquinox and Simcoe. Super juicy pineapple, tangerine and pine aromas. Super resinous stuff, just amazing.

Nonic pint on tap at THG.
A: Served a clear deep golden with a thin and very greasy and oily off-white head that faded to a lasting collar.
S: I can smell this beer from across the bar. Simcoe comes through with tons of onion and mixes with undertones of citrus and herbs.
T: Each of the hops is noticeable in their own way. Simcoe always sticks out like a soar thumb to me, so I pick up on that hop a lot. I get notes a of juicy citrus mixed with onion and slight mint. Finish is lightly spicy and herbal, slight doughy malt in the finish. Herbal green mint flavor mixed with onion lingers.
M: Medium-full body, soft, bitter, and oily mouthfeel, greasy fresh hop oils, soft carbonation.
O: Not my favorite hop blend but delicious none the less and a flawless beer for what it is. Clean and easy to drink.

The beer is medium gold. It has good clarity. No haze evident. Medium white head. Some lacing. The aroma is tangerine, pineapple, mango, kiwi, grape, peach, blackberry and other tropical/floral/citrus flavors. There’s also a spicier pepper note in there. A bit different than their normal spectrum of hoppiness. Malt provides a background honey character with light caramel. Taste is medium bitter and fairly dry. Lots of hop flavor. More of that spice flavor. Also, more apples and citrus than tropical. Still quite nice. Mouthfeel is light with some pleasant hop oiliness. Refreshing. Another very good hoppy beer from Cellarmaker.

Draft @ Mikkellar Bar SF on 2/5/14. Pours slightly hazy and golden in color with limited head and some lacing. Aroma is guava, grapefruit, mango with some malty sweetness. Medium bodied with some particulate. Palate is citrus and tropical fruits with a nicely balanced firm piney hop bitterness and some malty sweetness shining through. This is quite a nice IPA.
