They say you only Yolo once...so we threw a bunch of rare New Zealand Riwaka hops alongside healthy doses of American Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra and Columbus. Notes of passionfruit, stonefruit, and subtle resin. Bright and unique. This international IPA comes in at 6.7% and 45 IBUs.

I had this on tap at Cellarmaker.
It pours a hazy orange. Low aroma, even once it warms. Low juicyness on the palate. I wanted more vibrancy from this.

On tap at Cellarmaker Brewing Company in San Francisco, CA.
Pours a clear orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of pine needle, tropical fruit, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, pine needle, tropical fruit, and earthy hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with a nice mix of aromas and flavors from the different hops used in this one.
Serving type: on tap.

The beer is a pale yellow gold with a white head. Good clarity. Looks like a beer. The aroma is big on tangerine and pineapple, which is right in Cellarmaker’s wheelhouse, but it’s also sweeter and more floral than normal. Big mango, grape, a little pear. Just simple malt sweetness in the background. Mild bitterness. Quite dry. Tons of hop flavor. This beer has nearly none of the bland bitterness of many hoppy beers. Crisp and light. Very easy to drink. Normal carbonation. A little bit of grassiness in the finish. Excellent

32oz growler, filled on 2.12.15, enjoyed on 2.17.15, poured into a Cellarmaker nonic pint glass.
The beer pours a very clear, crisp golden straw color, hues of light copper without much activity in the glass, where a loose, soapy, foamy white head sits, about 2 fingers high, nice retention and sticky lace left behind. The aroma is pleasant, resinous pine, grapefruit peel bitterness, juicy tropical passionfruit and pineapple, a bit peachy like the pit with some earthiness that plays off the pine, hardly any malt to speak of, soft of biscuity but it's so gentle that the hops really shine. The flavors are quite nice, juicy tropical fruit, earthy pine, bitter citrus rind, some grassiness; very nice interplay between the hoppy elements. I find myself impressed with how flavorful the beer is but yet how gentle it is, typically I find that Columbus overpowers a beer with bitterness and really tones down it's palate, but this is really well integrated and impressively low IBU, the Citra and Riwaka really shine and the finish is so easy going, lingering dryness is nice but not overpowering. The mouthfeel is crisp, the carbonation is definitely higher than expected and the body is medium, but lower on the spectrum, lively texture, coats but has to work for it though it finishes with ease.
Verdict: An excellent west coast IPA from Cellarmaker, hoppy, crisp and refreshing. It hides the ABV and the IBUs so well and is so crushable that it makes for a great session beverage, even at 6.7%. I had the fortune of stopping in at the brewery and sampling a variety of their offerings and this definitely represents them well, an excellent offering in a densely populated landscape of west coast IPAs.
