I See a Dankness is our hazy Double IPA collab with the legends at Sante Adairius. Bursting with Citra, Simcoe, Nelson, and Nugget, this beer brings layers of ripe tropical fruit, citrus creamsicle, and that unmistakable dank finish. Soft on the palate, loud on the hops—a modern haze bomb with a nod to the classics. Juicy. Lush. Dank as ever.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and leaves a little nice lacing.

S: Juicy citrus, a mix of ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, resinous pine, grassy faintly herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Ripe citrus, tangerine, lemon lime, and a hint of grapefruit, big time exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, mango, guava, white grape, apricot, peach, gooseberry, pineapple, and passion fruit, resinous pine, subtle grassy herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Just a touch on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, pillowy soft.

O: I came into this one letting the name and the knowledge that it was a Dankness Week release shape my expectations, so boy was I surprised by my first sip! While there is a bit of the resinous herbal slightly dank side that I expected, it slowly emerges on the back end while the fruity side leads the way with some nice piney bitterness to balance things. It caught me off guard and quickly grabbed my attention. This one's special.

2021 canned release, thanks, Chris!

A hazy orange with a dense, white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks great! The nose cracks me up. So dank! So sticky! So much weed! So much terpene character! There's some pine and a little fruit, but this is just absurdly dank. Gumdrops and gummi bears are present on the nose. The palate open dank, so dank with weed, pineapple, hash oil, dark herbs just ridiculously dank to the point where even the mild hop burn that's present is consistent with the flavor profile, as opposed to being an unwelcome, disjointed note. Mildly fruity but mostly dank on the finish, this beer is medium light in body and moderately carbonated. Dankness lingers on in the finish, and the hop burn complements it, calling to mind the last toke. Awesome

Enjoyed at the dipa bistro fest. Takes on some orange colors in addition to the usual yellow.

Aroma was great, massive amount of pungent fruity hop aromas, soft bitterness. Drops all that good proprietary hop goodness, tropical, citrus of the orange variety, pine.

Taste is phenomenal like the aroma. Real dry finish, clean, not heavily bitter, all the pineapple and tangerine you could ever want. Its first tier world class hoppy stuff. If you lined this up with the heavy hitters from Russian River, Boneyard, Societe, HF etc. . . there would be a lot of really similar, great beers you couldn't discern from one another in a blind test.

EDIT: Had this in the can, still awesome, perhaps not as great as that OG batch on draft.

big thanks to claystation for bringing this back from california and for sharing it with me. another gem from these guys, looks like they dont miss. looks clear and golden and rich, very west coast under its thick white head. it smells like its from vermont though, that softer hop thing, without the bitterness and resin remains, i love the nose. juicy tropical hops, i get the equinox and simcoe for sure, the others less. the taste is more in the citra range, but also has that northeastern united states ipa vibe, mellow and juicy, fresh and balanced by grain in a way that isnt big or sweet. not neutralizing or canceling, but enhancing for sure. orange and pineapple come to mind, and its super fresh, which always makes a big difference in this style. i like how dry it is in the finish, the hops flavors all remain on the palate, but the beer is all gone, no sugar left or anything. no bitterness either. hard to believe this is as strong as it is, it felt more like a single ipa or even an american pale ale, never an imperial at all. very impressed.

This beer is so good that I am forced to give it a proper review. Had on draft @toronado in San Diego. Let's just get this out of the way...I prefer it over Pliny. There, I said it. It's like biting into a piece of a juicy fruit. So much tropical fruit going on its ridiculous. Smells like dope and tropic ale unit and follows thru on the taste. Never gets old throughout the entire pint. And to me, that's the real test. 16 ounces of deliciousness. Well done. #Cheers

The beer is a glowy glass of orange-yellow. It’s completely clouded over. Small white head. A little lacing, etc. The aroma is tropical fruit and citrus explosion. Juicy juice. Huge pineapple. Some mango and big tangerine. Guava. So, yeah, tropical fruit hops. Mild grain note, just a little pale malt. There’s a sort of coarse grain flavor and feel that I assume comes from water chemistry magic. Incredibly easy to drink. This is a really tasty beer.

This pours a hazy gold/light orange. There’s a fresh, crisp orange-tangerine aroma with a sticky dank piney resiny citrus flavor and a long drying sticky finish.
