On tap. Love me some Nelson, and I love pale ales. Let’s see how this winning combo holds up.
L: light straw yellow in color, hazy appearance. Minimal head on the pour with mild lacing. Nice complexion though.
S: grassy, semi-dank with fruity undertones and effervescent aspects. Smells just as you’d expect from a Nelson beer, and this has me hyped.
T: fantastic. Lemon, mango, apricot and pineapple are right up front, then that Nelson sticky dankness hits. The finish is lemongrass, grapefruit and dank with mild resin. Love it.
F: medium in body with light to medium in weight. Stellar feel for a pale ale, with a low end of moderate carbonation.
O: cellarmaker pulled it off with this one, making use of a winning combo of hop profile and low abv. if there were cans, I would be taking some home. I am very glad to try and would drink again. Cheers!

A: Moderately light dank, coupled with some light fruit and herbal notes.

A: Dull light yellow color, hazy , opaque, with a moderate uniform white head that has decent retention.

T: T: Strong fruit flavors, with moderate citrus and mango pith, with a light white grape note and moderately light hop bitterness and light juicy flavor.

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and light soft mouthfeel.

O: Tasty; the beer has an incredible amount of flavor, but had a light mango pithiness.

This beer is literally a masterpiece. It looks beautiful (super pale, super cloudy/hazy like a NEPA should), smells incredibly dank and pungent (earthy and floral), tastes like heaven (hoppy in every possible essence, fruity, dank, not too bitter so people who hate bitter can enjoy), has a smooth and lightly creamy mouthfeel (not abundantly creamy; more crisp and light and easy to drink).

Best beer ever.

Two-day old growler into a tulip glass. Pours hazy gold yellow with a finger of medium density white head that left thin ringed lacing. Nose is very pleasurable, very tropical with subtle grassy/earthy undertones. Taste follows the nose extremely well. Finish lingers ever so slightly with some astringency. Mouthfeel is nice, incredibly drinkable, carbonation medium-to-high leading to a bit of spritzy/tingly feeling, plenty of astringency and a bit of bitterness. Very enjoyable beer, will definitely get again whenever given the opportunity!

Lots of Nelson hops on this bad boy give it a nice grassy aroma, but for me there's an underlying toasty note on the malt that stands out. Balanced and restrained. Tasty.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into an Ommegang tasting glass. Bottled 5 April 2016. Thanks to my good buddy RZ.
A: Hazy-opaque light yellow.
S: This smells like divine nectar. In the garden of the gods, this is their honeysuckle. Weirdly distinct papaya, blood orange, heady floral scents, a touch more lemondroppy citrus, and perhaps something else tropical.
T/M: Cellarmaker makes my favourite pale ales, and Nelson Sauvin is my favourite hop. There may have been some way for this to go wrong, but it didn't. It's damn near perfect. A tad resinous perhaps, probably due to the boatloads of hops involved, that intrudes on the flowery quality I was so enjoying in the nose. Perhaps sharper and less fruity than I expected, but if you look anywhere but at the core of the flavor, it's dripping with tropicality-- strange limesickles, funny bushes (verbena?), candied pineapple. The flavor is sadly a tad brief, but on the flipside, this means it's crisp and even refreshing.
O: Call me biased. Go ahead. I'll be drinking this godsend while you gab.

650 mL bottle. Very hazy yellow. Smells of tropical hops with some floral notes. Light herbal and pine bite behind it. Tastes very bright and juicy. Strong garlicky bite behind it. None of the herbal notes. Light cracker malt and a strong bitterness. Lingering sweetness. Very light body. Aggressive hop profile. I like it.

Picked up 4.5.16 at 2pm for the 2nd CM bottle release. Drinking at 8pm same day.

A: slight haze straw to light orange. Neon yellow hue. Loose large white bubbles

S: tropical fruit. Mango. Citrus. Juicy hops.

T: more fruit but not overly tropical. Great hops. Nice bitter finish. So much flavor bursting in this pale. Finish with some citrus peel and guava pith.

F: crisp but sticky. Some creaminess to it. Soft.

O: awesome job with This pale ale could pass as an IPA like zombie dust. Really great.

1 L growler from Cellarmaker. Smell is tropical fruit - passionfruit, mango, a hint of guava, and orange citrus.

Taste is a mix of citrus and tropical fruit juices - like an orange-pineapple type of blend. Bitterness is mild on the finish, but very nice for a pale ale.

Picked up a growler from Cellarmaker and cracked it open after two days.
Look: Not much head and hazy yellow. Reminding me of Alpine Nelson when done right.
Smell: Floral and citrus. I could smell this for days.
Taste: Same as the smell but with a some pines at the end.
Feel: Smooth and perfectly carbonated and it has that bitter bite I enjoy from nelson.
Overall: Good single hop nelson. So easy drinking.

Pours a hazy straw gold with a white head. Aroma is all Nelson. Taste follows nose with white grape, grapefruit and lemon. An excellent showcase of the Nelson Sauvin hop.

The beer is a darkened yellow. Very cloudy. Smallish head, kinda soapy. The aroma is full of hops, tropical and fruity. Lemon, pineapple, grape, big floral note, some pine. Wonderful mineral flavor in the taste. Just full of hop flavor. Moderate to light bitterness. Juicy and excellent. Really nice feel. Smooth with nice body from the minerality.
