Made with 100lbs of Wet Citra Hops. Process wise there are several ways to make a wet hop beer. We chose to use a method that minimizes the time from farm to pint. These Citra hops were harvested last Tuesday in Eastern Washington, overnight shipped to the brewery, added to the fermenter on Wednesday and the beer is available to drink today, exactly 1 week after these hops left the farm.
We utilized some other varietals in the boil (Mosaic, Equinox, Nelson, Simcoe and Motueka) to add more layers of complexity to this beer alongside the resiny fresh Citra. This beer was definitely not a great yielder so it will only be available in the tasting room. Fortunately, it tastes awesome. Wet hop beers are a pain, super messy and a labor of love but they're certainly unique as hell and it's only once a year (yolo once right?).

On tap at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a 1/2 inch of head. Tropical fruit aroma. Guava, mango, passionfruit, pineapple and grapefruit. The taste is more piney than expected with some grapefruit and orange. Passionfruit, pineapple and pine finish. Medium body with low carbonation. Mild alcohol heat.

Had an opportunity to drink a lot of this when it came back as part of the 2016 wet hop season. Pours golden in color. Big and dank aroma. Lightly bodied pale ale with a heavy hop smack. Tastes fresh and sticky with a long and lingering resiny finish. This was fantastic.

A little hazy and the head dissipates fast. Moderate carbonation. Intense aromas of orange peel and lots of earthy dankness. Tastes of orange and earthy hops which the light malt bill lets shine through. A little sweetness balanced by slight bitter. Refreshing,

The color is a pale golden yellow. It’s a bit hazy. Medium white head, a touch fizzy. The bubbles dissipate fairly quickly and leave little lacing behind. The aroma is full of monster hop juiciness. It’s like huffing a bag full of Citra. There’s a definite hop greenness to it, but the beer pulls it off quite well. I think the other backing hops rein in the harsher, more vegetal flavors that crop up in a lot of wet hopped beers. There’s a lot of sweet fruitiness in there. Big on peach, pineapple, mango, papaya, grape, tangerine, melon, a lighter lime edge, a little blackberry. It’s all sweet and juicy. Candied fruit hops. No real malt presence is noticeable. This is a hop party. Taste is dripping with that same hoppy fruit goodness. Moderate bitterness. Finishes pretty dry. Light mouthfeel with a lot of hop oiliness. This beer is absolutely packed with bright, juicy hop flavors. Delicious stuff.
