We used Maris Otter and English dark crystal malts, Styrian Golding hops, and a carefully selected English ale yeast to make a super crushable, authentic flavored bitter.

On-tap at THG.
A: Dark golden/light amber with a dense cap of tan head that faded to a fuzzy collar and film. Wispy streaks of lace were left down the glass.
S: Weird roasted nose with a strange burnt toast type of smell mixed with light DMS and grainy notes.
T: Biscuit malt, toast, bready, and with a touch of roast, touch of corn, noble hop bill with a low bitterness and slight earthy and spicy presence. Lightly sweet finish, just a hint of roast and grainy flavor lingers. Roast is almost burnt or smoky at times, or perhaps is reminiscent of peat.
M: Medium body, crisp an clean mouthfeel, splashy carbonation. Not drying, wet finish.
O: An easy beer to drink but I didn't love the flavor. A bit of a weird roast and burnt flavor. Maybe this is to style, but I didn't love this.

Pours a thin head on a clear dark straw body.
The aroma is caramel and grains but enhanced.
The taste is mild caramel and malt sweetness balance nicely by a lemon bitter.
The texture is a bit fizzy.
It has great aroma and flavor.
